A time of distress
A time of despair
Who knew that it would be the perfect time
Of love for one so fair

A desperate plea
Translated to a loving whisper
A lost girl
How the boy missed her

He searched for his love
Who was now long gone
He remembered her promise
And sang their song

He sang and sang till his heart gave out
And he lay upon the ground
The song disappeared into the dark
Nothing now, not a sound

His heart now broken
His body now shattered
The love that they shared
Now all but tattered

Love is the killer
Despair the apprentice
The girl the liar
But still the boy remained relentless

A small sound came from his withered lips
He still sang for the one he loved
The one he trusted
He struggled, and pushed, and shoved


He pulled himself up
And sang his loudest
The wolves heard this
And they too, sang their proudest

The boy no longer sang from sadness
Nor did he sing for his pain
He just sang to sing for what he knew
As he cried in the rain

The girl had lied
And he believed in every word
He still loved her, which left the pain
From this hurt he had learned

He would always remember the girl
But for what it was worth
He learned how to love
And he learned of the hurt
